I've never really looked back on what an amazing man my dad has been, because I always look forward to what things are yet to come. As you have figured out, my dad owns the largest boat collection in the United States, and in my opinion, the world. You have probably already read the part on how it all started with the tiny green boat when he was two, but have you thought on what it was like for him. From my point of view, boats have always been dad's passion. That was the reason for our move from Ohio to Gig Harbor, Washington. It really hasn't affected me in anyway, but its cool to look around as all those boats are unloaded.
As a person, my dad has always been the "shoot first ask questions later" kind of person. The intellegent, idol that every kid wants his dad to be. Though, I hardly notice that he has the largest boat collection because of everything else that happens. To be honest, I haven't thought of the toy boats since they were last out in display. Now you may be thinking,(or you may be not) of how I can not notice a collection as large as this. Well lets look over the facts;
1. He is the type of dad that will get up every morning(or mostly every morning) to pack me a lunch and to make me breakfast.
2. He is a bomb to hang out with whether its just to chill or to go jet skiing.
3. You can tell him anything and he will listen.(unless the game is "on")
4. He is the type of dad that will go to the extreme just to be with you, and to have someone care for you.
So how could I possibly notice his boat collection when a great man like him shines through, and how could I possibly want anything more?
